I can't help seeing in this the sort of catty politics that teach women that you shouldn't ever put yourself forward, that you should be modest and wait for other people to notice how wonderful you are. Because if you DO put yourself forward other women will tear you to shreds for your audacity. How lovely.

LOL yeah I've heard that one too and ascribe it to craziness (what do they think, that they were gonna change her name before the series ended???). But I've also heard it said that ED is like a plague on the character that is Lois Lane because she's a horrible actress not deserving of the role. (and also "too blonde")

Oh, yeah, I've heard the most horrible things. The 'too blonde' is ridiculous given the show makes her dye her hair light--it's hardly her fault! But it's the bitch/slut/whore comments that really get me riled. There's just no call for that.

LOL Thanks so much, its not the first time I spoke up to them, only to be put down before... although last time it was to someone who had a particular nasty ED icon calling her a cunt :/ but oh well. Just have to learn not to take them seriously anymore.
