One day back at work and I'm already grieving the loss of quality online time. :( Especially with so many shiny fun things right now!

There's lots of great meta coming out about BSG's 'Razor' (and I am not going to get sick of talking about that any time soon!) and also the funniest deleted scene I've ever heard of needs to be giggled over. I mean really. *blinks* All the time we were enduring the Quadrangle of Doom and flinging insults at each other's factions, we should really have been blaming Tigh? *lolz* Nice plan, Cylon master! :D

Sorry. I know there's some interesting meta in there somewhere--about Kara and Tigh and how they're paralleled and I did find it interesting that they scripted Kara as having an experience where she was initially mocked for sleeping with Lee--I do think that would have been quite difficult for her to deal with when she was already freaking out. But... but... I still find it hard to think straight about it for the FUNNY. Thankfully [livejournal.com profile] sasa_hq provided me with the appropriate giggle-outlets here and here.

Kara, honey, next time you need relationship advice, please to be asking someone other than Mr I-killed-my-wife-and-am-an-alcoholic-Cylon.

As if BSG fandom wasn't entertaining enough, SV is all geared up for a Lana-centric episode that will no doubt be controversial and I still can't get over the fact that Clark may be about to CLONE HIS OWN MOTHER. There's a cool post here about Lana--still the best comm name ever. ;)

In sadder news, the latest draft of my latest vid went pfft and I have to do it all over. :( Boo! But I am close to finished and if I wasn't in such a silly mood would be vidding right now.

Finally this is the best anonymous comment I have ever received. :D

Damn, I'm sorry to hear about the vidding woes :( Will you be able to recreate it quickly?

I looked at the text in that deleted screen script and had a literal WTF? moment. It made my head hurt, trying to comprehend what on earth was going on - and it also didn't do a lot to endear characters to me :P It does play into the "Anders is better for Kara" school of thought though. *sighs*

I'm sooo tempted to waste a few evenings putting together an attempt to do a humourous picspam in the format "A Tale of Two Pilots..."

I'd watch that continental coffee comment though - I've seen Three Colours: Blue. You're supposed to add your coffee to vanilla ice cream, which means you won't lose weight but you will get to eat more ice cream.

I'm still not really sure how to take the deleted scene. On a completely basic level it is amusing and silly and odd.

But if Kara's decision was influenced by Tigh at all then Lee had no chance. Tigh has always clashed with Lee and yet he liked Anders right from the start (re: drinking scene and laughing at Sam's lame jokes).

And I think I'm glad they ultimately cut it because realistically, I don't think Lee would've stayed naked and cold for that many hours without waking up for Kara to drink a bottle with Tigh and then get married an entire hour before Lee made it back to camp. Seems a bit too much of a stretch to me.

I do hope it's on the boxset though, as well as the one Jamie mentioned about Lee and Kara being honourable with each other.

Do you think we might get all the outtakes for pilot!sex too?

I'm still behind on Smallville...must catch up!

I know! It might have been in response to Wisteria's post that I posited that if Tigh had encouraged Kara to stay with Lee things would have been very different. I'm thrilled the scene was cut for many reasons, mostly because I just don't see Kara blurting THAT out to Tigh of all people. And I never felt that outside Lee, Kara, and their rightly suspicious spouses, no one knew what happened between the two. Good editing Ron! :)

And because you are having horrible vidding woes I shall forgive you for not commenting on my 'Razor' thoughts yet. ;p

Ahaha! That's a great WTF? comment :-)

I still can't get over the fact that Clark may be about to CLONE HIS OWN MOTHER.

Is that not the absolute and final proof that Clark and Lex are MADE FOR ONE ANOTHER?????? We know Lex will be creating his love child with Clark in the future :-)

Even I can think of better places to get relationship advice than Tigh. Of course, it's Kara doing the asking, so perhaps she doesn't have the best perspective on the topic.

I thought it rather odd when watching that he'd apparently been so dead to the world that he didn't notice her leaving his side for, what, 2 hours? Surely someone would have come along to warm him up by then.

The other day, someone I don't know and who has an f-list of none and who doesn't look to be in fandom, commented on an old Truth or Dare meme of mine - like, from February. That was pretty wtf. But not funny like your anon comment - WHO DOESN'T WANT TO LOOK EUROPEAN :oP ??

Argh about your vid draft, that sucks!

See, I didn't see it as him mocking her for sleeping with Lee so much as mocking her for being such a screwup as always. Like, wow, could you have done something more spectacularly stupid and amusing to those of us on the sidelines? But thinking about Tigh, you are probably correct. He's not exactly Lee's biggest fan. Ultimately, while I'm glad we got to see the text, since I've always wondered about that scene, I think it's for the best that it was left out.

Ahahaha. That is the best deleted scene ever. Actually, any Kara and Tigh bonding together in bad relationships moment is a good scene! They are the best comic relief.

Oh, man, that anon. comment is horrid!

That scene is just WTF on so many levels and I shall need time, and then more time to get my poor little brain to wrap around it. Until said time I will just join you in giggling for extended periods of time (and maybe go nag Dionusia to write us crack of the very best kind ;)

Creative work going pfft is very bad *hugs you*

Oh noes! You lost a vid draft! You lost some vids last year too when your hard drive crashed, right? But then you got a better a computer so maybe there's a silver lining to this too. I hope so!

There is a Lana is Okay community? Yay! Because though I don't know her well, from what I've seen she really is okay. And very interesting right now.

While I can't say that I am not glad that they cut it out, I'm glad to see this scene because it explains Tigh's closer relationship with Kara, but the idea of Saul mother frakker tigh giving out relationship advice makes me crack up - I'm not sure what is more disturbing the fact that he gives it, or the fact that Kara *takes* it (the advice) from him at this point in time, (given their past history) or the choice that Kara ultimately makes which is cruel to both Lee and Sam, not to mention herself.

In all seriousness, I think Kara had *really* already made up her mind the moment she woke up, headed back to camp, and left Lee naked and asleep expecting to wake up to an entirely different set of circumstances than to wake up alone and finding out that Kara had actually married Sam. Still gives me chills.

As someone else pointed out though (please forgive me - I have forgotten who it was) it does sort of help explain why Kara just made her decision and never looked back - good soldier that she is. Makes me think again about the recurring military themes of BSG that razor recently highlighted for me again re decision making, accountability and how people live with the decisions that they make and even reinterpret them - possibly. I mean Kara's refusal to divorce Sam on religious grounds may well stem from her *beliefs* but they are just thoughts, thoughts can be distorted. They may have just been a way to also help Kara live with the decision that *she* had made.
