I'm a bookshop floozy!

Ok, so I know that Borders are a big American corporation, and I know it's incredibly evil of them to open directly opposite Melbourne's best independent bookstore, but ... I can't help it ... all those shiny new shelves and alluring spines ... a bookstore you can't even see to the back of ... books going on forever ...

(sigh)

I could spend so long there ... and Readings has never been the same since they moved into their new premises and got the incredibly-tall, all on one wall, narrow aisled fiction shelves. Whereas I was able to flop down on the floor in an aisle of Borders and get some solid reading in without anyone noticing... There are pluses about this!
