You're welcome! (It totally was! I'm convinced it was no coincidence. First there was big noisy booms and the power went out and then we took a walk around the block in the rain, barefooted, and like, *yards* away, big huge balls of fire shot out of the electrical box thingies and the trees were smoking! So, yes, I blame Jen. All her fault. Oh! And then we drank margaritas in the dusky twilight and thought about reading porn by flashlight, but then the power came back. It was most eventful!)

SQUEEEEEE! The referee had obviously hit a few at the pub before the match, because hello, HE FORGOT HE GAVE THAT GUY A YELLOW CARD EARLIER? HOW? OMG!!!

I was just a total nervous wreck today between the Italy-Czech match and this one (but I got both results I wanted, yay!)

Totally!! *How* did he forget that was a second yellow card??! How?! God, I hope the refereeing improves. I expect Italy will squash us like a bug in the round of 16, and I'm fine with that, since we've equitted ourselves very well. I just REALLY don't want us to lose based on more dodgy ref decisions. Since the first match, we've had them go against us, and so far we've scored anyway so it didn't matter. But I have a gut-wrenching feeling that the bad luck is gonna get us sooner or later.

I hope it's a good match (sadly, I'll be cheering for Italy in that one), but like you say, not marred by bad refereeing. (And I also hope my favorite player gets to play for Italy!)

OMG the refs were a NIGHTMARE!!! Two points:

(1) Viduka was RUGBY TACKLED TO THE GROUND PEOPLE. Literally PULLED with the guys ARM around him!!! *$^@*^@$&*@&$

and (2) Yellow card? get a second, get off the f***iing field. You have TERMINATED your RIGHT to be there. *@$&#*(&#($% ref.

I was ON THE EDGE OF THE SEAT for the ENTIRE final 30 minutes!! Everyone at work who came in randomly to the lunchroom was completely amused :D:D:D
