bop_radarLivejournal is nobbing me by not letting me reply to any of my friends' posts... :-(
Feeling very old at the moment - my next door neighbours had the rowdiest party on Saturday night and me and the old guy across the driveway rang the police! I can't believe I resorted to this! They had invited me to their party (a token invitation, but kind), but I really couldn't enjoy it.
1) They were playing 'Dancing Queen' when I got home (about 12:30) and singing along.
2) They were challenging each other to see how far they could throw bottletops off their third-floor balcony (into our carpark, or on my car).
3) Their friends seemed to consist of far too many blokes with far too small IQs who spent their time lurking outside my kitchen window giggling or ringing my doorbell and running away.
At 4am this had become Really Boring and despite my cheery assertions to b/friend that I didn't mind and would stay up all nite playing ps2, I got on the phone. The old guy had beaten me to it and the constable at St Kilda police centre sounded bored: 'I think we've got this complaint already...'
The police came - twice. First with no response, second with more effect, particularly after they *entered* the house. Admittedly, there were more important issues in St Kilda on a Saturday nite so I forgive them their late arrival.
Next Door Nobs seemed amused. I am old. bluch.
