I actually showed the opening dance sequence to one of my bffs as in 'THIS IS BOLLYWOOD DANCING.'

He boggled a bit and said it was cool.

I love how they keep SAYING 'Dhoom' randomly. FOR.NO.REASON.

Hahaha, GOD THAT OPENING SEQUENCE! Yeah... it's incredible. Hrithik is so fluid and flexible, it's inhuman and he pulls off the craziest moves.

Oh yes, the DHOOOOOOOMs. :D :D :D And the soundtrack generally! And the editing! LOL THE EDITING. It's so different from western cinema which might for instance have an over the top action sequence, but there often feels like there is still some *restraint* in the editing room, like they kept things slick and professional there at least... Here I feel like the tech and effects team were like 'NEEDS MORE NEON!!!!' or 'NEEDS TO GO BOOM MORE!!' and just having a ball, you know?

I love that the editing team basically got blinded with neon, or was at least having a very obvious love affair with it. THEY EMBRACE THE NEON. WHY CAN'T EVERYONE ELSE?

Hrithik's dancing is amazing, and I love showing it to people.

I think you captured the Dhoom franchise feeling perfectly! The only
Issue I have is a personal one--whenever Hritik Three-thumbs is on screen I can't stop looking at his hands. Total distraction-cakes.

This rollerblading scenes, by the way? Genius! I also really liked the way you introduced the characters with the parallel shots and cuts between scenes.

Haha, your distraction issue is amusing. :) The man moves so fast I don't really have this problem. I do, however, have an unhealthy fascination with his pelvis. ;)

I don't even know if Dhoom counts as a fandom! The actors have huge followings though, deservedly so--Hrithik is one of the best dancers that has ever lived, and Aishwarya combines beauty and personal grace and is also an incredible dancer.
