I can't decide whether it's worse because it's completely unbelievable that it's their LAST BREAKUP EVER, as opposed to all the other LAST BREAKUP EVERs, or whether I'm willing to believe that no, this one is for real, seriously.
It's totally their LAST EVER BREAKUP... unless Lana finds a way to pull the Kryptonite out of her system. She does that, you know she'd go back. So that she and Clark can manage to break up in yet another ridiculously contrived way in the future.
I don't think it's their last break up because I really do believe that if they get a ninth season she'll find a way to at least temporarily de-K herself. The writers won't be able to resist.
I've just reached the place where I feel that whether it is is solely reliant on whether they get a next season or not. If they do, I'm sure it won't be. If they don't, then I guess it will be because the show ends there, but they give me no faith that it 'really' is, if that makes sense.
