I love them both A LOT! I think Rafa and Federer both play terrific tennis.
BUT. I remember times when there were actually different people in different finales. Like the sand-specialists like Rios and the spaniards. And then the grass-guys or the hard-courters. When it was all a little more mixed up! :)
But whatevs, I sound like my grandma. :)
They play a great match!!! And i really should take the dog out because it's his usual time BUT TENNIS IS ON! Pets, they just don't get it... :)
Hee! I'm a bit of a fan of the running rivalry thing... also I love it when players try for a Grand Slam. I loved the Sampras/Agassi stuff, I love this too... though I do like how Wimbledon throws everyone off. (I get a bit bored by the clay courts though--such slow bouncing!)
I was a huge Sampras fan too! I was at his quarter final against Jim Courier when he broke down in tears about his coach's death and Jim asked if he wanted to come back the next day. Most memorable live sporting event ever!
And it was great to have Agassi around to test Sampras--such EPICS.
I definitely appreciate Nadal's presence. Federer is stunning to watch, but there is little suspense with anyone else.
YES! I only read about it. It was sucha dramatic match!!
I saw one Sampras/Agassi epic during the World Cup in Hannover, Germany. It was in the late nineties and I skipped school to go there. It was SO COOL. I also used to vacation to Paris to watch Pete at the French Open but he never lasted long! But it was always an awesome trip! :D
Man, those were the tennis days! We even had half-decent german players.
Heh, those are the sacrifices you have to bring. It's 2 pm here right now, so I am good. But tonight is the superbowl which I plan on watching with some friends and that will be around 1 am my time.
I have to be in school to intern at 8 am. :) That will be a tough day!! :D

I love Nadal because before him, no one could stop Federer and it's much more suspenseful now. :D
