Count me in as equally conflicted. I love the dynamics of the canon Clois ship. I really didn't like the way SV pretty much flipped it on its head. After Committed, I was ready to just go with it, as I assumed that once we were all beaten bloody with the "Lois loves Clark" anvil, they'd shift the focus back to Clark and his developing feelings.
I can see from the other reviews of this ep that many disagree, but I am just not seeing any real interest from Clark. And this pattern of Lois being emotionally exposed to Clark and Clark's reaction being...well, to my eyes, a mixture of discomfort and sympathy for her embarrassment is really starting to grate.
I hated that scene where they had Lois look crestfallen after realizing those vows were not Clark's words to her and as if that wasn't enough, have Clark notice & understand the reasons for her disappointment (pretty much eradicating Lois's face-saving at the end of Committed). That part of the scene could've been written for pre-memory wiped Chloe & Clark and they wouldn't have had to change a word or Clark's facial expressions. Also Weepy!Unrequited!Lois makes me sad. Enough with that please. This is Clois, not Chlark!
