First peeks from Vividcon

This weekend was Vividcon weekend, and the flurry of premiere posts has begun! I am very excited to see all the new vids and have managed to at least temporarily overcome my envy for all those that actually attended by gorging on some of the new goodies tonight. I didn't get very far because several of these vids necessitated much rewatching...

bradcpu has blown my mind again with his ability to craft mesmerising nightmare-vision, this time with Tear You Apart, one of the most fascinating Firefly vids I've ever seen (heed the spoiler warning and don't read the notes until you've watched the vid for full effect).

45 by bananainpyjamas is the Bill Adama character study vid that needed to be made. It fills a big hole in the BSG vidding canon, and does so with impeccable style (and bonus LEE! *predictable*).

Keeping up the slash vidder quota, talitha78 gives us Summer Love--a delicious, hilarious tribute to the Seth/Ryan OTP of the O.C. I am delighted to be able to rec this to my O.C. fan friends AT LAST!

And another vid so *right* it feels like it always existed... bradcpu's Creep, exploring Faith and Spike in relation to Buffy.

In other news: RL sucks, authors are fuckwits, and I have a migraine. Can I live in my computer plz?

I want to live in my computer too! It's so nice here. But no, no we have to fight the good fight. What does RL mistake me for? One of the colonials? Clark Kent? Heh. But either way, we have to put on our supercapes and go out there, girl. :-)

Yes! Me too. That definitely happens when you shift from viewer to vidder. Your appreciation for technical know-how and sophisticated storytelling deepens, I think. I'm already much inspired again.

A friend of mine who was at Vividcon called me up afterward to ask if I'd seen this absolutely amazing SV vid by this bop_radar person who she didn't know... Which a) I had to pass along to you, and b) has reminded me that I meant to watch the rest of season 7 so that I could watch your vid without being spoiled, so now I'm downloading eps as fast as my pathetic little internet connection can get them for that very purpose. :-)

I love those vids! So, so awesome. And yay for Seth/Ryan vid! And I definitely was so glad to finally see an Adama vid. And Brad just totally blew me away in both cases.

Hey there! I just wanted to say that I loved Paranoid Android when I saw it at Nearly New. I hadn't seen it prior, but I'd always meant to. It's just EPIC. Way to go keeping everything fresh and moving for such a long song! Awesome.

I don't watch Smallville, but I was thoroughly entertained anyway.
