Three words: Spider.* In. Pyjamas.

*Yes, one of those motherfrakking huge ones Australia does so well.

*shudders*

In other news, I am seriously LJ-deprived. Work is taking about 12-13 hours a day at the moment, but I'm hopeful I'll get from 21st until 2nd off. Only problem is I really have no time for LJ until then... :( Feel free to tell me what I'm missing here though! I'll try and catch up as soon as I can.

*SPIDERS******************

We are CURSED here and if I found a large spider in my PJ's I'd have to burn them!!

Last week my brother went outside for a smoke at about 1am and when he walked back into the house there was the biggest, chunkiest, humungous huntsman spider ever in the entire world. Instead of killing it himself (he is 23 years old and 6.2") he wakes me up and makes me kill it. It took me about 20 minutes to work up the courage to get close enough. The thing was the size of a man's outstretched hand *freaks out and dies*

so yeah, a large spider in your PJ's is something that would probably make me pass out *frets for you*

as for your very stressful workload; I sincerely hope you get some time off and the craziness slows down :) :)

Thank you!! I see the Aussies on my f'list have instant sympathy. :)

I am very impressed you killed one! I've been known to call my mother or an ex in the middle of the night, from a corner of my living room, where I've been trapped by one, frozen in fear!

I hate the crunch they make. *shudders and shudders more*

I once woke up with one running up the bedspread from my knees towards my head. This was slighly less traumatic in that it fell out of my pjs onto the floor, so I didn't actually see it on me. I just know it was there at some stage. :(( I'm a little too freaked to open my chest of drawers though in case there are more.

Thanks for the thoughts re. work. It is really lonely right now.

I'm deathly afraid of them but I'm more afraid of knowing one is in the house running free *skin crawls* So it's a matter of survival. I have to kill it or move out of my home.

*nods* I hear you. I've done similar things too. Last week I was very tempted to call my other brother (who is the official spider killer of the family) to come over but he lives half an hour away and it was the middle of the night.

I hate the crunch they make. *shudders and shudders more*

*cringes and feels ill*

OMG!!! you poor, poor thing!! My skin is CRAWLING at just the thought!

I'm a little too freaked to open my chest of drawers though in case there are more.

Don't blame you. I've been looking over my shoulder since last week. It takes a while for the horror to wear off.

awww, I feel so sorry for you. You need a jumbo sized poster of Jamie in his towel on the wall of your office to chase the blues away and provide some daydream fodder :)

Yes! I understand. The one time i tried to live with a spider (for a night), it was high up in a corner of the ceiling and I told myself to get over my fear and that it wouldn't move... Well that was the one that wound up on my bed in the middle of the night. Never again! They CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

It takes a while for the horror to wear off.
Tell me about it! I've got the skin prickles still. And I'm up in the middle of the night thinking about it... though mainly about work angst.

*tries to concentrate on Jamie torso*

How the hell do you KILL a huntsman, *flails*??? I thought, unless one was brave enough to carry them outside, one just had to wait for them to leave on their own - it never occurred to me someone could have the stomach to kill them O_O !!!

They never leave though!! They take up residence!! They are house spiders. They love houses. When I moved into the house I'm in currently the girl before me had had one in her room for months. It was huge fucker--had been fattening up on flies in her room for forever. Give them an inch and you'll never get rid of 'em! Tomorrow I will spray all the windows and doors with barrier spray again to prevent them getting in (though I suspect this one got in on my washing).
