BSG S4 promo

wisteria_, for alerting me to the new S4 promo for BSG. I have been fidgeting at my desk ALL DAY waiting to get home to watch it and squeeeeee!!! *claps hands delightedly* That 'We're going the wrong way!' scream at the end was AWESOME. Definitely got my heart racing! As did Roslin with a gun and pilot huggage. Pilot HUGGAGE! Please, please, please, I am begging that that's their reunion hug and that it is not interrupted by alternapartners in any way.
So yes. Much love for promo! But would I be a terrible awful annoying fangirl if I said I wished there had been a little more Lee? *hides*
Promo: Last season Starbuck returned
Boppy: YAY!! STARBUCK!!
Promo: 4 were revealed, 1 remains unknown
Boppy: Eeek! *bites nails* *bounces*
Promo: Baltar was released but not forgiven.
Boppy: Yes! Yes! And LEE WAS AWESOME! *waits*
Promo: *flashy sequence of much excitement*
Boppy: \o/ Oh, I spotted Lee for a fraction of a second!
Promo: Destiny is not what it seems.
Boppy: ...
Kara: WE'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY!
Boppy: ... Maybe? And also: WHERE'S LEE!!!!? :(
*giggles* I know, I know... I'm an ungrateful brat. :p I just... wanted more Lee. I'll shut up now. Especially since I don't want to know any spoilers beyond the promo. It's nerve-wracking enough!
Oh, and I hope to see more BSG fans at my Garden Party. I know Garden Parties don't sound very Battlestar-y, but you should totally come gatecrash it in your Vipers or something. *nods* :D

Date: 2007-10-11 01:54 am (UTC)BSG is a terrible tease but it does deliver... eventually! In a certain episode called 'Scar' (S2), pilots tried to get it on for the first time. It was an aborted effort, but Lee did get his hand down Kara's pants briefly--see icon! ;)
There's been more since then but how much spoilage do you want for S3?

Date: 2007-10-11 02:14 am (UTC)So, in S2 in 'Scar' they got drunk and Kara jumped Lee and he thought they were going to live happily ever after and make babies but then she freaked out when he asked to slow down with the frakking (awwww!) and she got all angsty on him and told him she was in love with the guy she'd left behind on Caprica (presumed dead). He said 'enough with lovin the dead guys!' and she slapped him then pashed him again and then ran away.
Lee was sad.
Then Lee started dating an annoying girl called Dee in an effort to get over Kara.
Then Kara rescued her (not dead) lover Anders and pashed him demonstratively in front of Lee, thus breaking Lee's heart into ittie bittie pieces.
Then the S3 finale did this EVIL EVIL jump forward 6 months and we didn't get to see what happened in between but suddenly Kara was married to Anders and Lee was married to Dee and Kara and Lee were not speaking to one another and NO-ON KNEW WHY FOR THE ENTIRE HIATUS BETWEEN SEASONS. (You're so lucky you missed that bit!)
So in S3, there was a whole big thing where they had tried to settle on a planet but then the Cylons came and captured them and Lee saved the day by rescuing the last of the settlers (including Kara who had been tortured by Leoben during the Cylon occupation).
But we still didn't know what The Thing was between Lee and Kara. An episode called 'Unfinished Business' cleared that up: they'd got drunk together (again) and wandered off to see where Kara's house was going to be built. Lee got all earnest and asked her if she really wanted to settle down with Anders ('is this really the person you want to be with for the rest of your life?') and then he made a move on her (Woot!) and they made love (srsly it was the most romantic sex you'll ever see) and THEN as if that wasn't enough, Lee stood up and screamed 'I LOVE KARA THRACE AND I DON'T CARE WHO FRAKKING KNOWS IT!' to the night sky. And made Kara scream it too. Only she screamed 'KARA THRACE LOVES LEE ADAMA'. And then they kissed more but Kara was angsty. And next thing we knew she was waking up in his arms and looking worried and sneaking off back to town.

Then he ran into Kara with Sam's arm draped around her shoulders and Sam was all bouncy like an (annoying) big dopey puppy and saying 'hey man, ain't it great we got married?!' And Lee said 'good luck: you'll need it' pointedly and stalked off.
We assume he married Dee as revenge. ;) He also ate a lot of noodles and got fat. It was a whole bad time for him.
Anyway, once Kara was back on Galactica Lee went into exercise overdrive and got really fit again (geeee, I wonder why!) and then they had this thing where crew members got to challenge each other to boxing matches to work out their, *cough*, frustrations. Kara challenged Lee even though he was having none of it ('it's over, Kara!') but she goaded him and goaded him until he punched her in the face (pilots like punching) and then they fought and fought and basically fought each other to a standstill where they were just clinging to each other's bodies to stay upright. And then Kara said 'I missshhed you' (through broken teeth) and Lee said 'mussshheeddd you too' (through even more smushed up jaw) and fandom went awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
After that, they were all over each other. Briefly and angstily, because obviously they were both still married. Lee wanted to leave Dee but Kara is religious and said her marriage vows were sacred, she'd never break them even though she'd happily fool around with him. At which point Lee made another 'I think I'm going to throw up from emotional pain' face and said he couldn't do that, he couldn't live with himself. So there was much pain and woe and angst.
But then Sam pretty much sussed what was going on and told Kara she should go to Lee if she loved him. And Dee was getting really shitty and threatened to leave Lee. And Lee got all angsty about this and realised he'd been a total shit to her. So when Kara came and said to Lee 'if I left Sam would you still leave Dee?' Lee asked (fairly legitimately, imho) 'how do I know this isn't just another Starbuck about face and you'll dump me again tomorrow?' Kara got pissy and walked off. Lee looked confused and hurt and then went and re-proposed to Dee, promising to be a better husband. Much fandom furore over this.
Then Kara died. But not before Lee stared long and hard into her eyes and told her he'd do anything for her. She was afraid to fly because she was hallucinating and he offered to fly her wing (which was nice because he's her superior) and he did and then she flew into this maelstrom and told Lee she knew what she was doing, asked him to let her go (he was screaming 'Nooooo!' on the comm) and told him she'd see him 'on the other side'. Her viper exploded in front of him.
Three episodes passed and Lee mourned Kara. Then in the season finale, in the middle of a battle he saw a blip on his radar, went investigating and found it was Kara. His jaw dropped. She said 'it's really me, Lee. I've found the way to Earth and I'm going to take us there.' and then the camera panned out away from the two vipers flying side by side and panned through the universe to.... Earth. :D

In interest of sanity preservation, I'm liable to only view select scenes until s4 starts. That way I will not die of tension! Although I may anyway as BSG seems to do cliffhangers in spades. *whimper*
