Smallville Season 7

It's nearly here! I kind of can't believe it. I've kept myself so well insulated from spoilers all hiatus, it feels a little unreal to me that the show is actually starting again this week. I know only one thing about the new season--a casting spoiler--and I'm happy to keep it that way. I have NO CLUE how they will get out of the end-of-season cliffhanger (except that it will probably make no sense!) but it will be great to see them try...

There are many things I'd like to see in Season 7. Most of them probably won't happen but it's fun to wish/speculate...
1. Clark to take his shirt off more. (in honour of mahaliem, of course!)
2. Lois to get a frontpage Daily Planet story.
3. Clark and Lois to get it on. :D (I don't care if it's under the influence of RedK or whatever. It would be GREAT. And oh, so funny!)
4. Chloe to get over Clark and realise that Jimmy is a REALLY great catch.
5. Lex to get Clark on the lab table. :D
6. Oliver to return, at least briefly.
7. Clark to finally be convinced that Jor-El's training may actually have some value.. and to actually UNDERTAKE said training.
8. Martha and Lionel to get it on and Clark to walk in on them... oh, wait, she's left, hasn't she? :( Boo!
9. Lana to live alone, sans boyfriend (either on SV or off-screen).
10. Lex to be sexily badass in every episode, please. No more of this emo-ing around, I've had enough of it!

Things I would love to tally:
1. Numbers of coffees consumed on Smallville.
2. Numbers of deaths (by character who caused them).
3. Number of guys Lex has tortured, coerced or otherwise taken advantage of.
4. Number of cars wrecked.
5. Number of times someone has entered another character's house/loft/flat/workplace without knocking.
6. Number of times Chloe has improbably hacked into some high tech computer system.
7. Number of times Clark has gone Pfft! on someone.
8. Number of times the word 'destiny' is used.
9. Number of phallic object metaphors, per episode.
10. Number of glasses of alcohol consumed by Lex. (I betcha it's exponential growth through the seasons!)

Ten random Smallville moments I heart for their WTF-ness:
1. Clark proposes to Shelby.
2. 'Byron belongs in the cellar' (I still can't watch that ep without crying with laughter! BYRON, for fuck's sake!)
3. Season 6 finale begins in nineteenth-century country Quebec, for reasons I STILL don't understand!
4. 'The crown's mine, bitch!'
5. The tractor-toss in 'Perry'.
6. Mid-air Clark/Zod superfuck.
7. Lex and Jason get mutually tortured in a Chinese prison.
8. Clark's dad teaches him masturbatory control in 'Heat' (with a special mention for the popcorn explosion!)
9. Clark decides the ultimate rebellion would be to go live in Lex's condo... with Lex.
10. The Teagues and their random incestuousness. Genevieve/Jason OTP. LOL. (JOKING!)
Special mention: the entire episode of 'Devoted' (Lex buys his boyfriend's football team, Clark pretends to be attracted to cheerleaders, Lois uses Clark as sexual 'bait'...)

i love your list, and its not even that far out there:) Though if Clark goes for training he'd have to go bye bye, so that would kind of suck. Maybe the series finale?

For Season 7, I'd like to see:
1. Supersex

Ok, so my priorities aren't exactly mythic, lol

I'd like to count how many times someone says: "No matter how hard you try.."

And I can't think of any classic lovely WTF moments right now, its barely 7am here but I agree with all of yours and I love Devoted, I don't care what anyone says, that ep made me smile for days:)

Devoted has to be one of the crackiest episodes ever and I did love it ever so! :D

The one thing I really, really want is for the S7 finale to end with Clark and Lex full-out hating each other, arch-enemies style, Kryptonite and exploding evil labs and the whole nine yards, and they both realize that this is it: their lives from now on. Then we get a flashback of TW and MR trying to look like they did 7 years ago, set back in S1 where they're still best friends, and they're all talking about destiny and sticking with each other forever. And I bawl my eyes out. :P

6. Mid-air Clark/Zod superfuck.

They could have Clark visit Martha and, with his x-ray vision, discover cuff links with the initials LL under the bed. After all, Martha wouldn't do anything with Lionel in Jonathan's house, especially with Clark living there too, but now that she's on her own, things could be different.

And I still want an episode where one of them loses their memory of the past few years (maybe Lex?) and thinks that they're still best friends. Then, after they work together and beat the mutant/zoner/problem of the week, the memories are regained. Then, as the episode ends, both Lex and Clark are aching for the loss of their friendship, but know that they can never get it back. Let us feel the tragedy of the loss of what could have been if they'd remained friends.

As for WTF moments that I love - Lana, Lois, and Chloe are powerful witches who use that power to strip Clark and chain him up. If I was a powerful witch, that's exactly what I'd do.

Oooh. Nice wish list. I'm a total spoiler virgin for every single show this year and I'm looking forward to being surprised. Which is why... I'm not making any wishes. No expectations = less disappointment;)

I have to say, all the spoilery posts about SV have been KILLING me, because I've been so tempted to click. But I'm trying to go into this season with no expectations whatsoever, just so I'm not setting myself up for disappointment.

I'm a little excited about the female casting spoiler, though--not saying more since I don't know if that's the one you meet, but I think she could make things a little more interesting.

I can't believe it's back already this week, though. September has gone by so quickly!

I know the female casting spoiler too and I think it could be fun. :D It certainly didn't make me want to run around screaming as if my coat had just caught fire or something... though that seems to be the default reaction to spoilers of any sort for much of fandom. Which always makes me wonder: why read them?

But yeah, this post was my attempt to make the season return feel real to myself.

Gracious, I totally hadn't realized it was starting up again so soon! (Somehow the second half of summer always slides by in a blur; I think it's late July and then look up and it's late September.) I like your lists very much. I find that what I want is pretty simple, really: I'd like to see Lex getting it on, a lot. I don't especially care who with, so long as there's some actual heat to it. (I'm shallow, yes.)

But okay, looking past that -- Clark actually paying attention to issues beyond those that knock on his door would be nice. And Clark and Chloe getting to have a little fun with his powers. I'd love to see some tension between Chloe and Lois, because Chloe knows Clark's secrets and Lois is maybe just starting to twig to the thought that there's more to Clark than she originally believed.

And good lord, but I want Oliver to come back.

I'd love to see:
1. Clark being more of a journalist and not running to Chloe all the time for advice and common sense.
2. Lois being a kick-ass journalist and she and Clark really sparking against each other.
3. Less Chloe. I'd say I'd like to see her stay dead for once but I think AlMiles love their OC too much to bury her. I'd settle for wanting to see Chloe less at the center of everything.
4. One last hurrah for Clark and Lex. I'd like to see them make another attempt at friendship only for it to end completely, irrevocably with both of them as mortal enemies.
5. I'd like to see Kara and Clark get it on, Superstyle.
6. I'd like to see Lana leave Smallville with enough of Lex's money and connections to be a real problem for him somewhere down the road.

Yup! and then the ensuing scene where Clark goes scurrying over to Lex and says: "Lex, I know we've had our differences, but you have to help me BREAK OUR PARENTS UP!" And Lex is intrigued but noncommital and waits to see what Clark will offer in exchange...:)

Thanks for the tip! I haven't had a look... mainly because we so often disagree I assumed it would just make me mopey, but sounds like I should check them out for a giggle. It's fun to make such lists, I think. :)
