I'm in a pre-Christmas frenzy of activity, so this is going to be brief, but a few updates that you may or may not be interested in:
- for now conditions in Melbourne have improved (smoke cleared, temperature lowered), but the fires are still threatening to join up and form one massive front. The danger if this happens is that they could head for our water catchment areas and spoil the remaining water we have. Thursday's forecast is bleak--as bad, or worse than the weekend. The volunteers must be exhausted--they're backburning and trying to strengthen containment lines while they can. If it comes down to it, they'll abandon defense of settlements to defend the water catchments. It's that bad. *sad*
- Casino Royale! Helllooooooooo, Bond! I finally saw it and have to add my voice to all those squeeing over the extreme hotness! And the cheese was just ERASED from that movie! *reels* Favourite Bond ever.
- I have been reading. Hahum. Yes, truly I have, though I have not updated my book journal in eons. That's because I'm been re-reading so much and then OD-ing on froth in the form of Georgette Heyer novels and such nonsense. Evidently my brain is already on holiday.
- To my SV people: please do not give up on teh Clex before I make my first Clex vid. *puppy eyes at you* 'Tis in slow-but-satisfying progress, with an estimated arrival date of early Jan. It will break my heart if noone watches it. *pulls emotional blackmail on you* :-p
- Apologies to everyone who receives Xmas cards from me in January... I'm trying, really... I'm just, in Australia hopeless.

Oh, and I don't think you have to worry too much about an audience for a Clex vid. Even if people hate the show, they'll still line up to see a funny Clex vid, or heck--any funny vid for that matter. People like vids, quite apart from whether or not they watch the show. I don't watch SGA, but I still loved keewick's latest SGA vid. Because it was pretty and well-done, and she seems to "see" vids the same way I do. Plus, new fans are entering the arena all the time. Look at long-dead shows like Highlander and Due South. They still get tons of new fans. So, yeah, no worries on that front. :D

It's true that I like vids whether or not I watch the show. I haven't seen keewick's latest--I should check it out. SGA's about the only show I avoid vids of--major prejudice on my part. So daft!

Heeeee!!! Yes I am making vids. Well, so far, one vid--a BSG one--for practice. And now I'm trying for a 'real' Clex vid. AT LAST!! *twirls* It's coming along slowly mainly because I have to collect so much footage, but it's all mapped out, so yes, there will be a vid. :-)

wow, i did not even know it still exists. in germany, the provider companies are carrying the competition over the speed, but not over the volume :)
like if you take 1 , 2 , 3 , 6, 16, or even 50 (!!!!) MB of download/upload speed, it will shown in the price.
imagine !! 50 MB !! you could have a movie of 700 MB in 6 or 7 minutes!!!

You're not alone. Australia is so incredibly antiquated that there are NO unlimited plans. We have 20GB now, thank goodness, but that's pretty much the highest plan you can be on. And don't get me started on how incredibly sluggish our broadband is... grrrrrrr.
