*seconds* That's completely how I read it, and I found it really amusing from that pov. It seemed particularly likely since he told the truth about Zod first (ploy 1), then still had a trick up his sleeve with the send-them-off-for-lethal-serum trick (ploy 2). He wouldn't have told the truth first if he still had a good ploy!
