Fridays are great!

I have squeeful personal news! I have complete the geography book that has been eating up my life for the last couple of months. It's gone to prepress and I'll see the proofs next week. Work celebrations are planned for next week, but my own personal celebration begins today, since the damn page proofs are NO LONGER ON MY DESK. *g*

The usual sense of exhaustion and anti-climax that I get when I finish a project are beginning... But I am endeavouring to fend them off with some exciting weekend activities.

Tonight
1. Brokeback Mountain, to be seen in a few hours time at my favourite cinema
2. New Smallville ep, which should have DL'd by the time Brokeback finishes
3. Reprisal viewing of BSG's 'Scar' with supacat who doesn't know what she's in for. *smirk*

Tomorrow
4. Brunch
5. The Fog!! with friends and a sense of humour *g*
6. Karaoke

And then hopefully some nice quiet writing time as well... Although that's a long shot. My weekends seem to be getting eaten up a lot recently.

Psst ... and I also got a little pay rise. Whee!

I saw Brokeback Mountain and I liked it. My friends won't come with me to see The Fog. I was glad that Jaimie from THE MOVIE SHOW on SBS gave it 3 or was it 3 and a half stars out of 5.

I am YAY! again, k! Wheee! Sorry was so brief (and crazed!) yesterday. All is better today although weekend has been all over the place. That's ok. I am happyful again now. Much squeeage. Jake was very very beautiful in BBM, even if I had some issues with the movie. Oh he is just too lovely...

Thank you! I had mixed feelings about BBM, although I thought it was very good. It was just a hard movie to watch emotionally. Haven't made it to The Fog yes... plans didn't quite go as ... um... planned. But yes, I will be trying to get to it soon.

You know, there has been lots of talk about Heath's performance in BBM, but I, for one, thought that Jake took way more risks and seemed much more in love. *pets broken Jake*

I preferred Jake's performance to Heath's. I'm still humming and hahing about whether to post on BBM or not. I've chatted to most people already who would have commented on it. But I might post on it just for the record.
