I can imagine how helpful acupuncture was! I had acupressure massage while coming off the meds and it helped so much. It does put you in touch with blocks in your body! That was scary but I saw a lot of improvement in time. It was scary to have all that improvement and then have a breakdown. But part of me knows that my emotions were extreme partly because my body was more open.

That morning drink sounds pretty cool! And amazing about period pains! I don't get them too badly but know people who do--I'll recommend it!

I considered St John's Wort... did you find it helpful quickly? I heard it takes a month or more to know whether it works for you? It would be good to have something that helped both depression *and* anxiety--so I would consider it.
