it's important for him that Chloe's wedding go down without a hitch (he even says so in so many words) and Lois is making it happen that way. Did you see how totally jived Clark was by Lois' mad managerial skills? God! How happy he is when he greets Oliver! Oh yes! That's so cool!
I wonder what would have happened during the cufflinks scene if Lois hadn't filled the silence with her banter? Clark didn't seem remotely inclined to stop gazing at Lois. Maybe in some ways her banter leaves him free to have that moment--he trusts Lois, he knows Lois, and he isn't nervous here at all.
he knows he's leaving himself open to ribbing by Lois. But he's also indirectly asking her to come forward. Awww! Yes! *clappy hands* Thanks for making me see this.
the Clois hospital scene in Zod earlier and it seems to me that since that day (a very empowering one for Clark), I loved that scene!!!
Lois is the one who grows uncomfortable with the UST between them. Her reaction is to deflect the tension with a humorous putdown or by defending herself with an offense (punching him in the arm). That's true!
Wow, I really felt compelled to respond to every little bit of this comment. IT IS AWESOME! Thank you for helping me find the joy and for bearing with me while I worked my way through it.
