You know what really is? The fact that this is my most hated song ever. Followed closely by 'Say My Name'.

In other news. I hate my job. And! OMG, this season has been a total borefest. Until episode 3.11! Which totally rocked! I can't express my happiness that Dexter asked Deb to be his best man! He should have, of course, done this from the start, but apparently they needed to write a whole season of boredom or something. *shrug* Deb as best man = perfect! Also, Deb all choked up about finding out Harry cheated on her mom was pretty amazing. I could not believe that Dexter let that slip... I mean, I see the psychology that led him to do so, but I still can't believe he was that sloppy. But who am I to complain when it means there is actual tension back in the series again (at last! I couldn't give a fuck about Miguel and found this season as unsuspenseful in inverse proportion to Season's 2 riveting).

That scene... where she found out! *heartthump* And then the one where Anton talked about the skinner... eeek!

And omg, how much do I love that DEB is now the one with a pal in the records department?!! \o/ She is THIS CLOSE. *makes squinty close fingers* I'm finally excited about the show again--pity there's only one ep left. :/

Of happyfulness is All He Wants For Christmas, [livejournal.com profile] mskatej's delightful exploration of Clark's feelings for Lois, Christmas 2008 (season villain notwithstanding)!

I use this icon in honour of Lee Week, which is most happy-making and which I insist is still continuing because:
a) I was terribly busy and need to catch up on some of the posts, and
b) it's always Lee Week.

Also, I may have succumbed to the gayness of both Merlin and Crusoe. Somebody saaaaaaave meeeeeeeee! (Oh whooops, wrong gay show.)

The eclectic-ity of this post is brought to you by South Australian shiraz and a really REALLY bad day at work.

It makes me extremely happy that you fell for the awesomeness that is Merlin. :D

That song always cracks me up because I keep remembering sophomore year of high school english where my teacher asked us to define "ironic" and people kept quoting that song. Alanis Morissette (however you spell her name) annoys me though. I watched her sing on a late night show and it was just really painful to watch. :\

I'm sorry you hate your job. *hugs*

I read that Clois fic! It was amazing! :D

Dude, everyone's talking about Merlin. I really need to see that show.

Somebody saaaaaaave meeeeeeeee! (Oh whooops, wrong gay show.)

LMAO! :D

Isn't that Alanis Morissette's "Ironic" providing the source of the quote?

I've enjoyed Dexter a lot more than you did this season, for a show like this to work it needs to ratchet up the tension in different ways and for Dexter to try and have a truly honest relationship with another person was fun (for me) to watch. Plus knwoing that Jimmy Smits has been giving salsa lessons to Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter...let's just say that those two don't seem like the most coordinated people in the world...makes me smile. Also, the actor playing Deb's partner has a role on GG that sounds very promising. But I love Deb's story best, her getting to be best man and the scene when she found out that her brother was becoming a father were the best of the season.

It was great finally getting to see that Deb has a friend, even if she is in the basement!

ext_2583: "Lady Agnew" by John Singer Sargent (Can you dig it?)

[identity profile] mskatej.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 11:28 am (UTC)(link)
Mine was "Imagine there's no mskatej. It's easy if you try."

Does that mean I'm equivalent to Heaven? Coz I can dig that.

Merlin has eaten fandom. I feel like I should give it a second chance but then I think, if anyone is immune to it it's probably me. :/

You know I'm still only up to 4.2 because I don't want the end to come any quicker? I'll have to catch up soon but the longer I go without watching, the more there is still to watch...

LEE WEEK. INDEED. GRUMPY LEE ICON.

(Also I've only seen Dexter S1, but Deb is awesome)
(And I am watching 'Smallville' again because I have developed this thing for bimbos in green leather. I hate being a pawn of the writers).

"Somebody saaaaaaave meeeeeeeee"

as in my *fruitless* attempts to be a good friend, I will of course, try to catch/saaaaaaaaaave youooooooooooooo!

*ops! failed. Boppy fell down the Merlin hole!*

It is, actually! QoT is taking over the reins and it seems as though it will at least be an "Apollo Fortnight." Or we're calling it the Pythian festival now, or something.

I had some things I need to finish posting too. :)

Isn't it demonic?

[identity profile] squirrelhaven.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 03:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't you think? Because now it's stuck in my head, and it will not leave.

[identity profile] taragel.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee I did that meme twice and both times I got Elvis songs. ("a hunk-a hunk-a burning Taragel" and "a little less taragel, a little more action please").

Sorry work is the suck. I've been there. (Am still there quite often, but trying to remember to feel lucky I have a job with all the publishing layoffs happening.)

I watched S1 Dexter and enjoyed it but could not get into S2...no idea why.

[identity profile] bananainpyjamas.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 03:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry to hear that work is being particularly crappy. :( At least fandom is being happy-making. :D

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 04:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm. I am getting curious about Merlin, I have to say.

Sorry about your job?

[identity profile] bloodygoodgirl.livejournal.com 2008-12-10 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
That sucks about work. I actually love Alanis Morissette, Jagged Little Pill is one of my favorite albums, although ironic is not a favorite. Not the meaning of the word! Like at all.

Merlin! It's so gay and adorable!

[identity profile] starryeyedmagic.livejournal.com 2008-12-10 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
Merlin gets us all! I just started watching myself!

I really need to catch up on Dexter. I'm still an entire season behind, haha!
