Fandom Garden Party

Certain among us have decided that the days are very languid of late, so in an effort to invigorate our local community and inspire a sense of festivity, we have decided to hold a Fandom Garden Party. Starting immediately and lasting for a week. (Well, there's no point in doing things by halves, right? *waves 1930s cigarette holder airily*) All those who consider themselves part of the fannish community are invited!



Imagine, if you will, your friends mingling in the gazebo, at the elaborate dining tent or under a shady oak tree. Cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and iced desserts will of course, be provided gratis. Those of you so inclined may partake of a leisurely game of tennis, croquet or lawn bowls, or simply stroll around the gardens. It's a good time to catch up with friends, but also to meet new ones--in that, we can be of assistance!

As we all know, introductions smooth the way for new contacts to be made and friendships to form. Therefore we invite you to let your fellow revellers know a little more about yourself. Simply cut and paste

Least favourite characters/ships/shows: I really try to avoid the character hate although the Chlois bunch does annoy sometimes. I don't like that to elevate one character some have to trash another one. That in general doesn't sit well with me regardless of fandom which is why I don't take too kindly to Lana bashers within the Smallville fandom or Doggett and Reyes bashers in X-Files.

Your best work: I'm rather proud of my Masters WIP When Fates Collide (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2980879/1/When_Fates_Collide). It was my first foray into actively writing fic. I also like how Lost and Found (http://abby82.livejournal.com/980.html) my missing scene Smallville fic turned out, especially the Lois voice.

Ohhh, how refreshing! I don't take kindly to Lana bashers either. Or Lois bashers. Or bashing in general. It's just not necessary and is an unfortunate aspect of fandom.
