And again, if you find this sort of action objectionable, I'm confused as to why you give Lex a 'get out of jail free' card--what about Lex kidnapping and bullying Dominic way back in, what, Season 1?
As far as Oliver's concerned, I do find it interesting that aspects of his 'bully' self have been integrated into his 'superhero' persona. (I've been mulling this over since the ep, and I'd like to write on Ollie soon as he's such an interesting bridge between Lex and Clark.) In the scene you indicate, he uses intimidation as a persuasion technique. And he also likes to spar verbally in a very cutting way. I also found seeing him cheat in high school interesting. Now he justifies his stealing from the rich because a) they traded with thieves themselves and b) he uses the money for 'good'. But as I mentioned above, that's a pretty grey morality. And it's not Clark's morality, as we saw in their exchange in the barn. Personally, I'm sympathetic to Green Arrow's style and agenda, just as I am sympathetic to Lex when he is using his wealth and power for noble causes. But, to take a recent example, Lex was more interested in a weapon than in 'solving our energy crisis'--so he's moving further away from my own personal ethics.
