The way some fans defend the misogyny and racism in this show, saying it's "realistic" is what turns me off. I should like to write an essay about how that's a huge cop-out and total bullshit.

I can watch the series because it's like CRACK and I am curious to see what happens to the characters, but I seldom like any of the characters and if someone gets offed, I seldom care beyond "hm, I wonder what this will do to the political landscape". I like Tyrion and Sansa, and that's about it right now.
