I was so moved by Coach just putting his hand on Matt’s shoulder and not saying ANYTHING, because there was nothing he could say I love that Coach knows when NOT to speak. That's such a mature skill and it was great contrast to the very well-meaning, loving, but making-too-much-noise Julie.
I do hope he’s not going to exit Dillon via the Army recruiter though! I was a bit scared that they panned to the guy’s face during Matt’s euology! OMG WHAT A TERRIBLE THOUGHT! EEP. I thought that was just closure for their tiff earlier... eeeep!
handle was red with Matt’s blood by the end? Yes, that was brilliant! I'm also extra glad that they didn't make a big violin-y song and dance about it either, we just saw it in passing in an action shot of him shovelling. I loved that. I really liked the violence of this episode, which is a terrible thing to say, but it really worked for reflecting the ugly reality of that relationship.

Yup, totally a fave ep of all-time for me too!
