I can sympathize with that. When I was little my best friend adored Xena, but I just couldn't bear the stupidity, but two years back in a fit of nostalgia I went and watched the entire series. It has... heart. Heart and lesbians, and very pretty countryside. The Labyrinth of Gedref is very Xena-esque. I used to be a total snob; something like Smallville would have been too wretched to put up with. Now, however, I can enjoy pretty much anything.
