Yay!! It's cool to hear you're on board with this show.

I was utterly shocked at grandma's death - I mean, for god's sake, she was one of the best characters! I already miss her...
I know! Such a shock, and I miss her too. I was settling in to find out her secrets and have Sookie cry on her shoulder when things went badly with Bill...

he whole Louisiana context, complete with occasional Cajun (I love Rene to bits) adds a layer of fabness
Oh, is *that* what he is! *clueless* I don't think I've ever heard a Cajun accent before and I have been secretly wondering what it was.

sort of contemptuous pity rather than hatred.
I waiver between the two. :)

Btw, I;m right in thinking that what he took at the police station was not actual vampire's blood?
I'm not really sure. I get the impression that it matters a lot how you take it... so I think it could have been. LaFayette also stressed that blood from different vampires can be different--that the essence of them can be felt in the blood, so maybe that altered things too?

you should know better than to give dimwit Jason too much of that shit. Especially with his impulse control problems, and his general houndogginess...
Oh, I know! I'm glad Tara threw stuff at him. ;) It seems like LaFayette felt bad about it though.

I can't quite figure out how come Sookie gets slightly heightened senses and libido (for a few days) out of her massive meal, when Jason gets a full on trip from a drop.
Again I think it's to do with how they 'took' it. But also I got the impression that because most of the blood Sookie swallowed went to healing her and bringing her back from death's door.

And explain to me how vampires turn people?
I think we may be about to find out for sure, but yeah I think mutual feeding has to be involved.
